Creating a safe and welcoming environment is a shared responsibility. This course is required for all volunteers and staff who serve with children, youth, and other vulnerable individuals.
Throughout this course, you will learn how to recognize potential risks, understand healthy boundaries, respond appropriately to concerns, and follow our church's policies and procedures for protecting those in our care. The training also explains your responsibilities and the steps to take if you witness or suspect abuse.
Our goal is not only to meet legal and organizational requirements, but to create a culture of safety, trust, and care where every person is valued and protected.
Completion of this course is required before you begin serving in any role at Sherwood Park Alliance Church.
